Hello my name is Cindi Roman and I with two other teen Gandhi Brigade promoters helped Tiffany Spencer lead a workshop at Montgomery Community College on March 20, 2010 for Community Bridges' "Smart, the Rebirth of Cool" youth conference. We had a great time making videos about problems/ issues that affect us teenagers at our school, community, and at home.

On March 12th Gandhi Brigade and LAYC youth presented their ideas for a Latina/o Teen Pregnancy Prevention Campaign at the Gandhi Brigade Media Center. The project was born out of a community-based research project conducted by Susan Cruz at UMD Baltimore's school of social work.

Come join our celebrity Activist Asheru, at our third annually Youth Media Festival. Asheru is a rapper songwriter who is a recipient of a Peabody award and is famous for the theme song of the TV series Boondocks.

Youth from all over Montgomery County came together on February 3, 2010 in Rockville for the first ever Youth Town Hall meeting.

Empowered youth from Silver Spring came together on January 30th at City Place Mall to discuss the need for youth space in downtown Silver Spring.

Colorwheel production team will not meet today since MCPS schools have closed. Gandhi Brigade attendance at the Youth Townhall Meeting is still ON! Interested members should be at GB by 5:30pm. Questions, call Hawa at (301) 588-1399.

Silver Spring Youth will gather on Jan. 30, 2010 to discuss the future of the Civic Building and possible Youth Space.

On Monday January 18th, 2010, the Gandhi Brigade collaborated with BloomBars, a non-profit organization located in Washington, DC that uses the arts as a means to affect their community. As a part of our Day of Service, several Gandhi Brigade youth learned about the significance of utilizing the arts in advocacy and community change.
