The Rights of Butterflies Screening
Last week I went and saw the Rights of Butterflies. The movie is about an immigrant girl name Katya who worked so hard to get a scholarship to go to University of Maryland but unfortunately she didn’t and could not continue studying because the needs of money. I liked this movie because it is very interesting. It made me think how important it is to study hard and get good grades to try to get a scholarship because I want to be someone in life. I think this movie helps student to think about their future and about the Dream Act. If the Dream Act doesn’t pass undocumented immigrant students have to pay more money than those students that are not immigrants. Imagine you been studying here in the U.S for a long time trying to get a good education and you can’t go to college or the university just for the unfairness that an undocumented immigrant needs to pay more to continue their education.
