On October 22, the Montgomery County Volunteer Center hosted the annual a Community Service Day was held in the Silver Spring Civic Building. During this event various community programs were their presenting workshops and activities to the Silver Spring community. One great activity that was offered was AALead’s creating cancer ribbons. In addition, Gandhi Brigade organized a special workshop to talk about the youth curfew. We had fun activities going on to get the people energized during the discussion. The community had negative and positive reactions about the youth curfew. This discussion process was important to be conducted so that we could get our community to know what is really going on with the laws and regulation that are processed in the community.
