Youth: Promotores & Y.A.C.

Cindi Roman - Promotora & Y.A.C.

Cindi joined the Gandhi Brigade a while ago, as a Youth. She has grown within GB and been part of important projects, such as the "Teen Pregnancy Prevention" for example.

She is currently a Promotora and Y.A.C. member. As a Promotora, she works closely with Ashley Simpson in the middle school, as well as with Freedom School.

As a senior in high-school, she cares greatly about keeping her grades and up is looking forward to attending college!

Bronté Moreau - Promotora & Y.A.C.

Bronté has participated with the Gandhi Brigade in the GRRL Tech and Freedom School programs, as well as a member of Y.A.C.

In the new year, 2011, she will continue within those programs, working closely on projects with the youth and presenting at our Media Festival in May.

Dalila Pineda - Promotora

I came to GB because Heather showed me that it was a good program and that they did a lot of artistic things in the program. That really interested me, so I started going to GB.

I have been involved in many projects but right know I am working on the GB Scrap Book and will be working as a Promotora in the Spring of 2011, more specifically on the GRRL Tech program.

I love art and everything that is about art!

Isabella Louis - Promotora

Isabella has participated with the Gandhi Brigade and its programs in the past on several occasions. Starting in the Spring of 2011, she will be joining us a Promotora

Olami Barbarinde - Promotora

Olami has been a member of Gandhi Brigade for a while. She enjoys working with fellow youth and providing a positive learning experience.

Siomara Bonilla - Promotora & Y.A.C.

I came to GB by referral through my friend Carolina Diaz. At GB, I am a Promotora working with youth in middle schools, a member of Gandhi Brigade News (GBN) and I am also part of the Youth Action Cabinet (Y.A.C.). I love it here at GB! I am an awesome fun person with great robot-drawing skills!

Emmanuel Minja - Promotor

I first started at an after school program called Boys 2 Men in middle school and I was interested in the media program that GB Staff was presenting to us. So I asked the GB Staff how I could get more involved in Gandhi Brigade activities.

I have been a Gandhi Brigade youth member for about nearly 3 years now. I am involved in extra curricular activities, such as Gandhi Brigade News. We young reporters gather info on issues that are happening in our communities and make news peaces to show to the people so they can be aware or informed of what is happening around their areas. I am also a youth promoter at GB were I get to teach other youth about media and other materials that Gandhi Brigade do for the youth.

Something interesting about me is that I want to study business (entrepreneurship) in college. If things go according to plan, I might want to open my own business.

Benjamin Sudbrink - Promotor

Ben has been involved with Freedom School and as a Promotor. In the Fall he was mainly involved with the Friday programming at local Rec Centers. Beginning in the Spring of 2011, he will take a more active role in the middle school programs throughout the week.

Rhys Talbott - Promotor & Y.A.C.

Rhys has been with the Gandhi Brigade quite some time now. He is currently most involved with the Freedom School and Social Media programs and projects.
