Submissions open for 2015!!!
The Gandhi Brigade seeks middle school, high school, or college-aged youth media artists (ages 11- 23) to submit to our 8th annual Just Us Youth Media Festival. We welcome any and all submissions that fall into the categories listed below. All submissions will be evaluated and awards given to winning artists. Our judging places special emphasis on submissions that incorporate social justice issues and calls to action into their main message.
HOW TO APPLY:
Applicants may either:

You do not have to be enrolled in school to submit. We welcome any and all submissions that fall into the categories listed below.

Visual Art | Performance | Photography | Video
The festival is a premiere regional youth festival that will take place on Sunday May 31 2015 in Silver Spring, Maryland at the Silver Spring Civic Building (One Veterans Place) and includes special screenings, workshops, and entertainment. A 4-hour film competition will also be hosted that day. Interested teams should fill out the appropriate section of this form. A Gandhi Brigade staff will communicate with you shortly thereafter with details.

Content:
Submissions cannot contain graphic imagery or nudity. Profanity is unacceptable. In no way can submissions include imagery or messages that work against our value of peace,nonviolence, and unity. Gandhi Brigade retains all rights to turn down submissions for judging consideration.
Ownership and Copyright:
By submitting the film, you acknowledge that you are the sole author and owner of the film, or if you are not the sole author, you have secured all necessary and appropriate rights, written permissions, and releases in connection with submitting the film. In particular, all music and other rights must be cleared for nonexclusive educational, online, broadcast and theatrical distribution. Judging:
Submissions will be judged by a professional and a youth expert in each media area. Winners will be individually notified by May 9. Public announcement will be made at the festival on May 31, where prizes will be awarded. Performance qualifiers will participate in a live judging & performance event at the festival. Qualifying performers will be notified by May 9 three weeks before the festival.

4. Each submission must have a clear return address printed on the front of the packaging and each CD/DVD submission must be clearly titled.
