To all of our neighbors in Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Kensington, Langley Park, Wheaton, Rockville, Washington, DC and beyond:
Our teachers are launching 8 new programs on January 27 in Silver Spring. All free. For middle school, high school and age 18-25 interested in the media arts.
As 2019 comes to a close, our teachers and students are preparing to release their latest community-service focused films to you and your neighbors. This year they have honored themselves through education and personal growth, and honored others, through their films promoting local community causes and celebrations. They come together each week in our neighborhood hubs, to promote respect for one another. Why do they work to build respect for each other’s differences? To build peace. For all to experience peace.
Our young filmmakers, aged 13 through 25, ask you to help us buy three new iMac computers before January 15, 2020. They will need them for the six new graphic design, photography, and filmmaking classes that begin January 27, 2020. We are lucky to have a 3000 square-foot haven for youth in downtown Silver Spring, MD, thanks to Montgomery County support. However, we only have 9 computers, for more than 50 students, visitors, and teachers who will be using our Silver Spring studio daily.
Your support makes a big impact.
